Situated at the end of the Chamonix valley and close to the Swiss boarder Le Tour offers a wide variety of runs for all levels of Rider. It has dedicated beginner slopes, intermediate cruisers, easily accessed off piste and Terrain park to boot. Its one of the best areas to snowboard and there is something to keep everyone happy.
This legendary ski area is world renowned for its great advanced lift accessed riding and steep off piste up to 3300m. It sits near the middle of the valley next to Argentiere and faces north west which guarantees snow until late in the season. For the advanced Snowboarder it is a “must ride” area within the Chamonix valley. If you’re looking to shred hard this is upper intermediate to advanced heaven. Hardly any rival the 2000m vertical descent of this amazing free ride mecca.
Near the entrance to the Chamonix valley, Les Houches lies cut into the trees. Its a great place to ride when the weather is whiteout as all runs descend through the forest from top to bottom. It has Beginner terrain to get you started making those first turns and plenty of intermediate to refine your riding. When the snow conditions allow there is tree riding for the advanced snowboarder and a terrain park to work on your freestyle.
The ski resort of Brevent sits the opposite side of the valley to Mont Blanc and is easily accessed from town. On a clear day its upper slopes give great views over the Mont Blanc Massif. There is solid intermediate slopes to sharpen your skills to advanced terrain with plenty of steeps and off piste to temp you into the backcountry. It is also linked to the Flegere ski area via the Liaison cable car.
On the same side of the valley as Brevent sits Flegere. Accessed from Chamonix la Praz or the Liaison cable car, connecting it with Brevent. Its south facing aspect ensures its bathed in sun from first until last lifts. Another solid intermediate to advanced area and great on powder days when the crowds flock to the Grande Montets,
