We collect personal information from you when you register for our newsletter, enquire about our services or create a profile in our client portal area.

When registering on our newsletter, we may ask you for your name and email address

When enquring about our services or products, we may ask you for your name, email address, contact telephone number, riding level and location you’re looking to take our services or product.

When registering on our site, we may ask you for information such as your name, email address, mailing address, contact telephone number and date of birth.

What do we use it for?

It may be necessary to contact you in response to an enquiry or in the course of delivering a requested service. We may personalise your online experience of our website based on information collection from you on previous visits.

More specifically
  • Newsletter: We send infrequent newsletters out to the email addres that you provided. Your name may be used to personalise parts of your newsletter.
  • Services and products: We use the details provided to contact you in response to your enquiry.
  • Registering a profile in the client portal area: We use your email address to confirm any bookings/purchases made through the portal and send out any essential pre-course information as appropriate. It may also be used should we need to contact you regarding bookings/purchases that you have made. Your date of birth will be used to make sure you are of an appropriate age for the service or product that you are booking or purchasing. Your name will be used on any invoices generated as part of your booking or purchase; a copy is sent out by email to you and a copy stored in our records as required under company tax laws and regualtions. We will also add your name and contact numbers to appropriate internal staff facing lists for courses which you have booked. This is done so that staff know who will be attending their lessons, can check that you have arrived and can contact you if deemed necessary, as direcly related to your booking. If you have stored a mailing address in your profile, we will suggest this as a billing address when making a future card payment, please see details below.
How do we protect your data?

Where ever personal data is transmitted across the internet, it is encrypted using SSL. The Onyx Snowboard School website is hosted in the UK and complies with the principles laid out in the Data Protection Act 1998. We do not store your credit card details on our server. All such information is processed by our payment gateway provider, Stripe. If you have stored a mailing address in your profile, we will suggest this as a billing address when making a card payment.

Outside parties

We may provide aggregate statistics about our visitors, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, partners, service providers, or to the press. Aggregate statistics contain only non-personally identifiable information.

The Onyx Snowboard School website contains hyperlinks to websites owned and operated by third parties. These third party websites have their own privacy policies and we recommend you review them. They will govern the use of personal information you submit or is collected by cookies whilst visiting these websites. Such data also helps us to measure the success of our advertising campaigns. We may also collect Internet Protocol addresses to help diagnose technical issues and for system administration. Under normal circumstances we don’t link these addresses to any person’s name or identity.

You can request a copy of, or the deletion of all personally identifiably information on Onyx systems at any time. Confirmation of the requested action will be provided within twenty working days. Invoices will be retained for seven years, or as prevailing tax laws require.

After signing up to our newsletter, you will occasionally receive updates and newsletters via email from Onyx Snowboard School. If you wish to stop receiving emails from us, you may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in our emails. We will not share or sell your personal information with third parties.
